My First Mentors

When I said “Yes!” to following Jesus with all my heart, my freshman year at UP Baguio, Kuya Jojo and Ate Ida were my pastors and mentors for six years.

I learned so much from them, being trained by and doing life with them. They opened their home to me and my family, and I am forever grateful for their love and care. I carry their legacy and love in my heart, always.

Today, they were in NYC for their annual visit, and it was such a meaningful time. Jojo ministered at our Every Nation all-staff meeting. It was a timely and encouraging word for our leaders and ministers.

Afterward, we were able to spend the afternoon and evening with them. It was a rich, rewarding time, and I already miss them (even though they're still here in the area). They are an anchor and support to my soul, and two of the most important people in my life. Truly, they are family, and have been for all my adult life. Now, they are just as important and close to David and I.

Love you, Ate Idz and Kuya Jo 💜
